The theme for this year's B/CS Christmas Parade was "A Lone Star Christmas". Sam Houston's entry was a replica of the Alamo, a nativity scene, and covered wagons. The parade float was sponsored by Kohl's, Callaway Lumber, and Houston's PTO. Houston had approximately 40 people as part of the float. This included about 20 students from Kindergarten to former students now at Middle School. We also had about 20 adults including staff participate. There was a group of cowgirls dancers who stopped at intervals along the parade route and danced to the Country and Western Christmas music. Candy and teddy bears were also passed out along the route. Special thanks go to Kim Reynolds who coordinated the building and assembling of the parade entry, to Mrs. Mikitaroff who choreographed the dancers, to Terry Smith and Jacob Ollinger who built the Alamo and the covered wagons, and to Mrs. Murphy and Coach Nolen for building the cactus tree and painting the props.
