Healthy Texas Week

IT’S TIME for The Healthiest Week of the Year! We are proud to announce our involvement in Healthy Texas Week. We’re committed to helping make you healthier! Each day this week, we’ll have a morning announcement challenging teachers and students to get involved in Healthy Texas Week by making smart choices.
We’re committed to making this the healthiest week of the year. Let’s show Texas what we can do by getting a teacher or parent to post a picture of you and your friends performing this week’s challenges on the Healthy Texas Week website, www.HealthyTexasWeek.com!
We want to make sure we’re all getting the most out of our studies. The best way to learn your study materials is to focus really closely for thirty minutes; then take a short break. Perform exercises, stand up and stretch, or re-fill your water bottle. This “brain break” will give your brain a chance to absorb what you’ve learned. Your challenge for today is to take at least one “brain break.” If you need help, ask your parents while at home or your teachers here at school.
We’re committed to making this the healthiest week of the year. Let’s show Texas what we can do by having a parent or teacher post a picture of you doing a “brain break” to the Healthy Texas Week website, www.HealthyTexasWeek.com! Our body is made up of about 75% water and our brains are made up of about 85% water. We need to drink water throughout the day to stay hydrated, energized and focused. Your challenge today is to replace milk, juice, or soda with water during at least one meal.
We’re committed to making this the healthiest week of the year. Let’s show Texas what we can do by having a parent or teacher post a picture of you drinking water to the Healthy Texas Week website, www.HealthyTexasWeek.com! Teachers and staff, show a picture of you being a great role model!
