Bryan ISD Launches Two-Way Communication Channel “Let’s Talk!”

Bryan ISD has partnered with a powerful software tool called “Let’s Talk!” to give the community a new, convenient way to communicate with district leadership on critical education issues. The district’s Let’s Talk! technology gives parents, students and the community a 24/7, bilingual outlet to ask questions, offer praise or raise concerns.

Designed and administered by the communications company K12 Insight, Let’s Talk! is part of Bryan ISD’s commitment to creating a proactive dialogue with the public and allowing district leaders to continually take the pulse of our community. It is available on the district’s home page (http://www.bryanisd.org/) and via any campus home page. The link is accessible anytime, anywhere and from any device.

“Bryan ISD is wholly committed to student success, and we invite our community to partner with us to achieve that goal,” said Superintendent Tommy Wallis. “We want to work with the public in the spirit of collaboration and transparency to ensure we are creating lifelong learners who are prepared for the 21st century global economy. That’s where we believe Let’s Talk! can be a useful tool.”

Each Let’s Talk! submission is automatically sent to the appropriate staff member for follow-up. Users may remain anonymous, or they can submit their contact information to receive a direct response. The district has committed to responding to submissions within three school business days.

Parents and community members who click the Let’s Talk! graphic on the district and campus websites will find an attractive and easy-to-use web form that quickly takes in information, questions, concerns, compliments, etc. and directs that content instantly where it needs to go. A feedback form will also be available, so users can rate their experience using Let’s Talk!

“I encourage everyone who lives in our city or who is served by our district to get involved and join the conversation,” Wallis said. “Your voice matters, and your involvement in our school district is crucial to our success.”
